Hitachi Security Systems, a leading cybersecurity services provider, has joined Smart Africa, an alliance driving Africa's digital agenda. Hitachi will collaborate with over 50 private sector members as a silver member to enhance Africa's cybersecurity landscape. The partnership includes developing digital confidence services, cybersecurity frameworks, and threat intelligence capacities. With cyber threats costing the continent an estimated $4 billion annually, Smart Africa's CEO, Mr. Lacina Koné, stressed the importance of Hitachi's contribution. Hitachi's CEO, Scott Wiebe, expressed dedication to supporting Africa's digital trust and resilience, aiming to foster sustainable economic growth. The alliance aims to create a secure digital future for Africa, benefiting over 1 billion people across 39 member countries.
