Eurocontrol hit by a cyberattack

Russia’s KillNet group claimed to be behind the last weekend a DdoS attack targeting Eurocontrol, the European air traffic control organization.

Its website has suffered interruption, but the cyberattack did not disrupt any flight operation.

Eurocontrol is a European organization based in Bruxelles, sharing information between military and commercial entities that manages airspace to fluidify air operations. The top air traffic agency is considered as a critical infrastructure and a sensitive target but show resilience in the context of war in Ukraine.

This DdoS modus operandi is common for Killlnet group, overwhelming websites even if not nondestructive.

 

Commerciale spyware maker Quadream closes its door

After the revelations of Citizenlab, advertised here earlier, Israeli offensive company Quadream is closing.

According to Israeli news outlet Haaretz, the firm behind the spyware known as Reign has informed its personnel of the situation for a pre-termination hearing on April 16.

Some executives of Quadream were ex-members  of the NSO group, who became popular with   the infamous Pegasus spyware, are said trying to sell the intellectual property.

Haaretz adds QuaDream suffered of several factors, including a lack of sales, stricter regulations imposed by the Israeli government, and the lately ban on commercial spywares by the Bidden administration.
